Essential Design Elements for Your Bathroom Remodel

With a remodel, you can turn your tiny bathroom into a beautiful, functional space.

Remodeling your bathroom is a great investment. With a remodel, you can turn your tiny bathroom into a beautiful, functional space. Impress all your guests while doing away with tacky design elements that are no longer in style. Here are some of the pieces you need to include in your bathroom renovation plan!

Replace the Bathtub

Relaxing in a hot bath after a long day can be a soothing experience. Even if you don’t add bubble bath, the hot water can soothe tired or achy muscles. A freestanding tub is an elegant way to show off your flair for design. Alternatively, you could choose a giant soaking tub, or even a jetted tub! Place it under a window for a dramatic effect. Want a tub wide enough for more than one person? You can do that too!

Re-Do the Shower

Do you have a shower stall separate from your tub? Or is it a tub/shower combo? If you have a standalone shower, consider making some upgrades: rainfall showerheads, steam jets, and adding multiply showerheads are all very popular options. If you have a tub and shower combination and enough space, you can even create a separate shower stall so that you and your partner can bathe simultaneously!

Install the Right Flooring

The right flooring can make a huge difference in a space! Ceramic tile is popular in bathrooms because of its versatility and classic look. It is available in a myriad of shapes, sizes, and colors. Using the same tile in the tub and/or shower as the rest of the room can make the space feel more open. Stone and slate are also popular bathroom flooring options.
